Recognize the positives: Often times, we focus on what we would like to acquire and not what we already possess. If you think you have bad luck, it’s because you haven’t taken a look around you. Your family, your partner, your job and your house may not be straight out of a fairy tale or a dream, but if you have all of this, you can consider yourself a truly lucky person.
Even though attracting good luck into our lives is something that we cannot physically control, it is, however, something that we can indirectly influence and bring forth into our lives by cultivating certain traits that will help us develop a luck-attracting mindset — enabling us to attract the opportunities into our lives that are given to us by lady luck. 😉

5) No Date: When you live as if you have already accomplished your goals, there is no reason to establish deadlines or timelines. As Secret author Rhonda Byrne stated, “It takes no time for the Universe to manifest what you want.” While goal setting research supports the importance of establishing timelines to achieve success, LOA experts assert that it would be inappropriate to set a deadline for the universe to achieve your goal.
Model successful people. Those with the luck factor understand that other people’s success can be modeled and repeated. As a result, they spend time researching the thoughts, beliefs, habits, decisions and actions of very successful individuals. They subsequently model their patterns of behavior in order to obtain their own personal goals and objectives.

The work of quantum physicists during recent years has helped to shine greater light on the incredible impact that the power of the mind has on our lives and the universe in general. The more that this idea is explored by scientists and great thinkers alike, the greater an understanding we have on just how significant a role the mind plays in shaping our lives and the world around us.

Think of it as a radio signal. As you scan through the radio, in-between stations fight for a signal. Most people are pretty familiar with this experience. The two stations compete and occasionally you’ll hear one song and then parts of a different song start to edge in. You’ll notice that neither station comes in perfectly crisp and clear. In the same manner, when you experience doubt or fear, those thoughts and feelings interrupt and compete with your desires.
Be like a kid who allows no impossibility to enter her manifesting realm. "Feeling" helps us release any doubt and negative energy. It generates excitement and positive feelings, which support us to take inspired action! So go test drive that car you want, or feel what it will be like to have the perfect partner in your life, because feeling is believing!
Many people have limiting beliefs which keep them from allowing abundance and happiness into their lives. If this describes you, realize that you must first change your limiting beliefs into thoughts that you are deserving, worthy, lovable, desirable, and capable—as well as smart enough, strong enough, attractive enough, rich enough, good enough, and “enough” in every other way that matters to you.
13) Placebo Effect: Placebos are inactive, ineffective substances to which a positive effect has been attributed. The greater your expectations and beliefs that something will be effective, the greater chance it has of creating a positive response. The mind is a powerful tool. We can increase or decrease our heart rate and blood pressure through visualization. A few individuals using a LOA have a firm belief that it will work and so it does. People tend to have more success with the LOA for smaller items for which they did not make a vision board; finding money on the street, getting a check in the mail, hearing from a long lost friend, etc. Is a belief in a law of attraction any better than rubbing a rabbit’s foot, tossing a coin in the fountain, or pulling apart a wishbone? Test it yourself, the answer is no!
And NOT EVERYTHING is your fault. As a psychologist, you should know that we have 65000 thoughts a day and most of them are not conscious. In that case how are you supposed to know that you were thinking so subconsciously? (SUBCONSCIOUS thoughts matter too!). In fact, LoA users use their subconscious mind as a great asset. The truth about the law of attraction is actually simple.
Those with the luck factor always work hard, smart and creatively. They understand that it’s not how much time they put in, but rather how they work during that time that matters most. Furthermore, they realize that only through the process of creative thought and action will they be able to attract the good luck and opportunities that others simply acknowledge as lucky chance encounters.
Or, like most people who claim to have found the way to manifest things through the LOA, is it that you truly don't want big things, new things, nice cars, paid off mansions, kids' schools paid for, permanent paid vacations, etc. If you wanted them, you know you could manifest them, you are just not that interested in those things right now. That's the typical response.

The researchers found that by activating good luck beliefs, these objects were consistently able to boost people’s self-confidence and that this up-tick in self-assurance in turn affected a wide range of performance. Lucky thinking, it turned out in this study, positively affected people’s ability to solve puzzles and to remember the pictures depicted on thirty-six different cards, and it improved their putting performance in golf! In fact, people with a lucky charm performed significantly better than did the people who had none.
Move more. Take a walk outside. Get away from your desk. Visit a friend. You can’t experience good luck if you sit at home all day, waiting for things to turn around. You can’t stumble upon an opportunity if you’re tied to your desk. You can’t find a $20.00 bill on the sidewalk or a great piece of vintage furniture in an alley if you're sitting at home. You need to get out there and make yourself available to all the opportunities that the world has to offer.
Expectation is similar to knowing, as described above. Expectation is more general. Someone who lives in expectation of good things happening will attract good luck throughout their life. That doesn’t mean they won’t suffer ‘negative’ events, it simply means they have programed themselves to a positive expectation. When they get it, it feels natural; the normal course of events. Many people do the exactly opposite, they program themselves to expect the worst and are always surprised when the ‘worst’ keeps turning up.

Law of attraction practiced prior to the 1800s. If you are referring to arcane practices in Babylon and Biblical times that we have little knowledge of, I am aware and have looked at these. If there are some specific and relevant references I would be interested in hearing them. As you believe in a LOA, most of what you hear will be filtered through this lens. As I now do not, most of what I hear will be seen through that lens.
At this point, you may still remain unconvinced that this universal principle — which attracts like to like — still seems interwoven in magic and, therefore, unreal. Perhaps it’s because we’re talking about intangible concepts like thoughts and feelings. At least with gravity, an apple thrown up into the air falls onto the ground. You may not understand it, but you can visibly and immediately experience the effects.
Emmet Fox wrote about metaphysics and the power of prayer in essays and books. His teachings are founded in Christianity and bible stories. He cites Jesus Christ as being the greatest teacher of metaphysics who ever lived and explains that thoughts are our most important emanation, more important than what we say or what we do. In the books Power Through Constructive Thinking and Find and Use your Inner Power Fox speaks about "building the mental equivalent of what you want and to expunge those that you don't".
