Israel Regardie published books with the Law of Attraction theme as one of his prevailing Universal Laws. In, The Art of True Healing: A Treatise on the Mechanism of Prayer and the Operation of the Law of Attraction in Nature (1937), he taught a focused meditation technique to help the mind to learn to heal itself on a physical and spiritual level. Regardie claimed that the Law of Attraction was a valid method for attracting good physical health and for improvement in any aspect of one's life.[63]
 Visualize. Visualizing is an effective tool when it comes to attracting good luck and fortune. When you picture yourself experiencing a desired outcome, you work out the steps to overcome any obstacles. It motivates you toward your goals and gives you energy to take action. It can also give you new ideas and new ways to achieve your goals. For instance: If you want to be a successful singer, visualize yourself as one. Imagine yourself singing at a concert with fans all around you. It will raise your confidence. If you find visualizing things difficult, practice it. Close your eyes and try to see it in detail in your mind.
11) Blame the Victim:  The only reason that anything bad could ever happen to you is because you were thinking bad thoughts. If someone rear-ends you in a car – 100% your fault. If you get breast cancer – 100% your fault (not genetics). If you get raped or abused – 100% your fault. Children getting killed by terrorists, sick babies in the intensive care unit, victims of floods, hurricanes, natural disasters, the Holocaust – yes, their fault. We all know deep inside that this is ridiculous to even suggest. However, it is a basic, fundamental premise of the LOA. You NEVER attract something you are not thinking about. When anything bad happens to anyone, they are to blame. Don’t feel sorry for anyone who has cancer or a disease or starving children in poverty, they brought it on themselves. What causes obesity? Slow metabolism? No, fat thoughts.  From LOA experts, “Disease cannot live in a body that’s in a healthy emotional state.” (Bob Proctor).  “You cannot catch anything unless you think you can, and thinking you can is inviting it to you with your thought.” (From The Secret). “Good thoughts and actions can never produce bad results; bad thoughts and actions can never produce good results. Suffering is always the effect of wrong thought in some direction.” (James Allen). “If man will think only thoughts of perfect health, he can cause within himself the functioning of perfect health…” (Wallace Wattles). “Every individual creates every aspect of their experiences – we are in complete control of our health throughout our entire lives. There are no accidents.” (Esther Hicks).

From this knowledge, it can be stated that your entire “reality” is all within your head. There is nothing “out there” even though it seems like it. It’s the case of the popular question, “if a tree falls in a forest and nobody’s there to hear it, does it make a sound?” The idea is that you cannot experience your reality without actively perceiving it and this is the fundamental basis of the Law of Attraction.
Recognize the positives: Often times, we focus on what we would like to acquire and not what we already possess. If you think you have bad luck, it’s because you haven’t taken a look around you. Your family, your partner, your job and your house may not be straight out of a fairy tale or a dream, but if you have all of this, you can consider yourself a truly lucky person.

I sit down to write when there is an inspiration within to do so and then the words just flow through. These writings are not meant to create belief systems, dogmas, agendas or techniques. I kept hearing about this book. I expected it to be a new age, wish on a star book. But, it was a good read. It reminded me that, at least to some extent, we do create our own reality by the attitude we project. If we are a grump, we attract other grumps, not happy persons, to us. And so on. It is a quick read, a fun read, lots of white space, easy to understand and assimilate, no high psychology words, no mumbo jumbo. Good illustrations. Definitely written for the layman. I've also seen Losier's videos and they are more of the same.
Many people turn to a greater power to help them increase their luck. Some say a prayer before they start to enter sweepstakes, asking God to help them win what they need or to help the prize go to the person who needs it most. Others feel that asking God for specific prizes is inappropriate but ask instead for the strength and the positive attitude they need not give up and to keep entering sweepstakes.
They don’t obtain the ability to find life in their life. Yes, ability. It’s not just a choice. It may start with a choice. But it’s a practice, a daily one, to produce nectar (joy) from what’s in front of you as you keep building and climbing. This is what keeps you positive and attracting. It’s like pedaling a bike. Once you are no longer able to produce joy with what you have, you are no longer attracting.

If you are constantly worried about bad things happening, or negative outcomes, then you are using the law of attraction against yourself. To worry is really to apply most of the above steps, towards a negative outcome. You are visualizing the negative outcome and asking the universe for it with pictures of the negative outcome; you are feeling the feelings of the negative outcome. Stop worrying and follow step seven above.
Through doing countless interviews with lucky and unlucky people I found you could tell within seconds which type of person you were about to interview. The lucky people were more engaging and upbeat. And emotions are contagious. After some time with a lucky person you feel good about yourself and you start to see the world in a very positive way. You spend time with an unlucky person and you start to focus on that back pain you’d almost forgotten about but now appears to be ten times worse. We have some research coming out which shows that one of the major factors is not how you yourself feel, but how you can make other people feel. It’s very closely related to charisma.

The author demonstrates how good luck is a matter of personality. Factors like a healthy self-image and certain other attributes can change a negative and failure-prone personality to a positive one that admits no defeat and recognizes that good luck is not an accident. In reality, "good luck" means the attraction of favorable chances by a positive mind-set within. Personality factors that attract luck include a high energy level, generosity and a firmly held belief that one is lucky. Also, the will to attract luck, in the author's own words: "The extent to which we make ourselves luckier is likely to be directly proportional to the force of our will to be lucky. The will to be lucky is the crux of our internal development, the channel through which we can realize our full potentialities as lucky human beings." This is a pleasant read with valuable practical advice that will benefit the reader if applied to her/his life.


Economist, journalist, and diplomat A.H.Z. Carr wrote the book in 1952. Carr had served as an economic advisor in the presidential administrations of Franklin Roosevelt and Harry Truman, and spent time on economic and diplomatic missions in Europe and the Far East. He amassed a great deal of experience observing how most personal misfortune arises from impetuous, shortsighted, or unethical behavior.
I had a clear vision of what happy looked like and since it wasn’t my reality, I didn’t allow myself to be happy. So I was angry, resentful, and jealous of all the people around me who were getting their dreams handed to them. And of course that flipped my magnet and the only thing I attracted was more negativity, sinking deeper and deeper in my own shit until I hit rock bottom.

The Universe/God has an infinite and abundant reservoir of supplies, waiting to be delivered to the ones who sincerely ask for them. It doesn't judge anyone for asking for more, because, you are expected to live your life on this planet to the fullest. It is the limited thinking and the conditioning that we all have been exposed to from childhood which makes us fear the Universe/God; in fact it is not something to be feared at all. It's like the genie from the 'Arabian Nights' - Your wish is its command. Don't be scared. Go ahead ask for everything and anything that you want and believe that you have received them.
The Law of Attraction is among the most popular of the Universal Laws.[3] Advocates of this mind-power paradigm generally combine cognitive reframing techniques with affirmations and creative visualization to replace limiting or self-destructive ("negative") thoughts with more empowered, adaptive ("positive") thoughts. A key component of the philosophy is that in order to effectively change one's negative thinking patterns, one must also "feel" (through creative visualization) that the desired changes have already occurred. This combination of positive thought and positive emotion is believed to allow one to attract positive experiences and opportunities by achieving resonance with the proposed energetic law.[4]
