Think about two droplets of water that are slowly moving towards each other. What happens as they get closer? They eventually get close enough that they attract each other and become one droplet of water instead of two separate ones. This occurs because they are of like vibration. Now, think about the same phenomena with a droplet of water and a droplet of oil. No matter how close you put them together they will not become one with each other. This is because their vibrations are too different from one another.
The problem comes about whenever we attempt to control our reality without first adjusting our vibration. No amount of physical manipulation will create the world that we wish to see. All of the work is done on the inside, in our minds. This means that no amount of action alone will produce the results that we desire. However, once we gain the ability to condition our minds to our desired frequencies of vibration, our physical reality quickly follows suit and reflects back to us our new vibration.
a) Electrons have positive charges. b) In physics “Like always attracts like.” [magnets?] c) Thinking burns up brain matter. d) Only ether (not air) conducts light and thought. e) Ether connects all minds together. When 2 or more minds come close together, “mind stuff” mixes, and creates a third, “master mind.” f) Higher altitudes have more oxygen, better air for breathing. g) Vibrating sound more quickly turns it into heat, then light, than thought. h) Thought energy is 40,000 Hz to 4 X 1014 Hz or above 7 x 1014 Hz. In reality brain waves are slow 1 – 100 Hz. i) The universe hears nouns, not adjectives or qualifiers or only sees pictures of your thoughts. j) Every thought you have (about 70,000/day) has a specific frequency or wavelength of energy. “Thought Stuff” leaves your brain, travels through the ether around us and causes “Formless Stuff” to create whatever you are thinking about.
12) We’re Not Perfect: The LOA is a “perfect law” and should result in a “perfect” life. We are told that no goal is too big if you can think it; there is no such thing as an unrealistic goal. From The Secret “You can think your way to the perfect state of health, the perfect body, the perfect weight, and eternal youth. You can bring it into being, through your consistent thinking of perfection.” Reality check -life is not perfect. It can be great, fantastic, amazing, incredible, even optimal. But perfect? Won’t happen. What’s the problem with this way of thinking? Why not expect perfection? Fantasizing and striving for perfect makes you feel better in the short term but actually reduces your chance of attaining your goals and results in more unhappiness and blaming. If you are only going to be satisfied with perfect results – perfect health, perfect body, perfect family, perfect marriage, perfect friendships, perfect kids, perfect house, perfect job, perfect life; you are in for a perfect disappointment. Research studies support this.

I preface this book review by admitting that I already consider myself a woman naturally blessed with good luck. However, I still purchase books pertaining to good luck due to my spiritual thirst to increase knowledge around making the best of life. Additionally, I admit to doing some off the wall and/or unconventional things to improve my life. For instance, less than 8 weeks ago, I decided to let go of reading my own horoscopes as a subconscious way to reinforce the idea that I’m in charge of my destiny and that things are only getting better in my life. However, I allow myself to look at other horoscopes as ideas for my goal setting, spiritual aspirations, life advice ideas etc. I purchased and use the ideas in How To Attract Good Luck And Make The Most Of It In Your Daily Life by A.H.Z. Carr with a similar mindset, concepts and insights for enriching my life and adding to my knowledge/wisdom goals. Generosity and Luck (starts on page 49), Turning points (starts on page 77), the intuitive approach to luck (starts on page 185), and how increased energy produces luck (starts on page 215) are some of the subject arena covered in the How To Attract Luck book. The back part of the book jacket lists A.H.Z. Carr as having lived from 1902-1971. Additionally, Carr is listed to have been a consulting economist for several corporations during his lifetime, a consultant to the Truman presidency, an economic adviser to the Roosevelt adviser, and is credited for writings in Harper’s, The Saturday Evening Post, and Reader’s Digest.
When things get tough you’ve got two choices: you can either fold or you can keep going. Lucky people are very resilient. I remember talking to one lucky person that had fallen down some stairs and broken his leg. I said, “I bet you don’t consider yourself quite so lucky now.” He said the last time he went to a hospital he met a nurse and they fell in love. Now the two of them are happily married twenty-five years later. He said, “It was the best thing that ever happened to me… So, yeah, things can look bad now, but the long term effect of this might be very, very positive.” That’s a very resilient attitude. Lucky people tend to have that sort of approach.
If you’re practicing these techniques with something simple, it’s time to take action and expect your results. If you’re using the system to find great parking, get in your car and drive to that parking spot with the full intention and expectation of finding it clear for you. Announce it out loud. “That parking spot is clear for me. I am parking in the spot that is open for me.” Again, we are fully aware that this seems really silly, but it’s a critical step.
"Vince Lombardi, legendary coach of the Green Bay Packers, once said, 'Plan your work and work your plan,' and that's a principle I have always found to bring good fortune my way in both business and my personal life. By writing out your plan, you're able to determine what needs to be done and how you do it. If you get stuck on the execution of that plan, simply revisit it to get back on track. It should act as a guide for all the decisions you have to make. I also believe that good luck comes from being a good listener and surrounding yourself with other hardworking people."
Surround yourself with lucky people. The people you hang out with have an influence on your outlook toward life. They have an effect on what you do and how you think and feel. Be with like-minded people who are doing what you want to be doing. Emotions are contagious. If you hang out with negative people who always complain and whine about their life and who are generally not very lucky, chances are you will soon be down on your luck. Make a conscious effort to spend time with people who have a positive outlook on life.
What intuition seems to be most of the time is when you’ve got expertise in the area, that somehow the body and the brain have detected a pattern that you haven’t consciously seen… When we were talking to our lucky people they would often say, “If I get a gut feeling about something I stop and consider it.” Even when unlucky people got those feelings, they didn’t follow them because they didn’t know where they came from. They were anxious about the world.
Individuals working with the luck factor take full responsibility for their thoughts, actions, and decisions, fully knowing that the results they achieve are of their own making. As a result, they tend not to make excuses, tend not to complain, or blame their circumstances on other people or events. They realize that doing this would direct their mind onto what they don’t want, and this will consequently distract them from what they do want, and as a result, they will fail to identify the opportunities that are necessary for them to achieve their personal goals and objectives.
Focus on understanding your part in this overall process, rather than feeling guilty or ashamed. Recognizing how your fears have manifested in your life does not mean that the bad things in your life are your fault. It simply means that the Law of Attraction has responded to the signal you sent out. Just acknowledge that the system works and your new awareness will guide you. No need to shame yourself or even feel responsible.
Ask the Universe for it. Make your request. Send a picture of what you want to the Universe. The Universe will answer. See this thing as already yours. See How to Visualize. The more detailed your vision, the better. If you're wanting that Nintendo Wii, see yourself sitting down playing a game on it. See yourself feeling the controller, playing your favorite game(s), touching the console. If there's that person you have a crush on, see yourself walking with them, touching or caressing the person, or even kissing the person. You get the idea.
The law of attraction manifests through your thoughts, by drawing to you thoughts and ideas of a similar kind, people who think like you, and also corresponding situations and circumstances. It is the law and power that brings together people of similar interests, who unite into various groups, such as political groups, sports teams, sports fans, fraternities, etc.
Law of Attraction Affirmations can take the form of internal thoughts or spoken words, but they can also be represented visually. Regardless of how you choose to use them, you can design them to reflect your vision of how you want your life to change. For example, many people have great success speaking affirming words into the mirror before going to work, or stating “today is going to be a great day” to infuse themselves with positivity upon waking. When used frequently enough, affirmations can enhance your use of the Law of Attraction by helping to reshape the core beliefs and assumptions that may be holding you back. They promote consistency, optimism and intense focus on the future you want to create.
Law of attraction practiced prior to the 1800s. If you are referring to arcane practices in Babylon and Biblical times that we have little knowledge of, I am aware and have looked at these. If there are some specific and relevant references I would be interested in hearing them. As you believe in a LOA, most of what you hear will be filtered through this lens. As I now do not, most of what I hear will be seen through that lens.
Change your strategy: It may occasionally be necessary to change the way we see things and the way we act in order to “get lucky.” Surely you know many people who, no matter how hard they try, cannot seem to change their destiny. It’s not about good or bad luck, but about knowing how to behave properly and knowing the exact moment in which to change course or direction. Instead of accumulating failures, innovate.

"When you're building your company it's also important to meet people where ever you go and keep them in your network. As your network grows, so will your business. When your network is full of people who have your best interest in mind, there's no stopping the success you'll garner. You never know who may end up becoming your client one day. I also believe that if you give out good vibes, you'll receive it in return. Also, employee relations is key to a successful business. Happy employees produce excellent work, which results in better business. Call it luck, I call it strategy."
Now that you understand what the Law of Attraction really is and how it works, let’s talk about the ways you can use it to improve your life. The Law of Attraction is a universal principle that is already working in your life. Start intentionally thinking and feeling what it is you want to attract into your life — such as money, love and relationships, health and spirituality — to make the Law of Attraction work for you.
14) Anecdotal Evidence: Evidence that the LOA is an effective way of attaining goals is anecdotal, non-scientific and self-reported. This fact does not prove it doesn’t exist.  But closely scrutinize whether you want to invest time, money and energy into something that is ineffective and potentially harmful. People are much more likely to publish successes than failures. We also practice apophenia (the belief that there is meaning behind random data) when we focus on coincidences without regard to the much greater number of times that we do not experience coincidences. How many times did you think of that person and they didn’t call you? Of the two thousand people I thought of today, only two actually called. That’s not a great percentage – 0.1%. But if I think of it in terms of the people that called we get a different story. I thought of Bert and he called me – that’s 100%!
In his 1910 The Science of Getting Rich Wallace D. Wattles espoused similar principles — that simply believing in the object of your desire and focusing on it will lead to that object or goal being realized on the material plane (Wattles claims in the Preface and later chapters of this book that his premise stems from the monistic Hindu view that God provides everything and can deliver what we focus on). The book also claims negative thinking will manifest negative results.[56]
