Under laboratory conditions, cutting edge science has confirmed that every thought is made up of energy and has its own unique frequency. And when this energy and frequency of a single thought radiates out into the Universe, it naturally interacts with the material world. Of course, it has long been known that matter, or physical objects, are also just packets of energy at the sub-microscopic, quantum level. And so, as your thought radiates out, it attracts the energy and frequencies of like thoughts, like objects, and even like people, and draws those things back to you.
Stop looking at the horizons in front of you and feeling overwhelmed. Look at the horizon behind you. It’s just as far and infinite. Think about how far you’ve travelled already. And, allow yourself a small tear of pride. Give yourself a pat on the back for the efforts you’ve made, the roads you’ve travelled. The universe thanks you for being part of this amazing story we’re all creating together.
I worked with a professional footballer once. He was getting very nervous about shooting goals. He kept missing even though he was very talented. I insisted that he kept watching himself on TV scoring goals and burned that image into his consciousness. I didn’t want him thinking about anything else. Every time he had a negative thought he was to switch that picture, either on the TV or on the TV in his mind. And he was to surround the thought with positive emotions of love and respect for himself.

Great article Neil! The biggest misconception about the law of attraction is people just think all you need to do is visualize and you will get what you want,we all have limiting beliefs which are chains holding us back from manifesting what we want,we’ve gotten these limiting beliefs when we were young from our parents, friends, relatives ,e.g if you’ve always been told by your parents “money doesnt grow on trees” and that becomes a deep rooted limiting belief ,its going to be hard to visualize and attract money into your life unless you get rid of the limiting beliefs, I discovered a method from a blog that showed me how to get rid of any limiting beliefs that you may have and started attracting what i wanted in just a few days ,here's the link if you want to learn how to do the same: instantlawofattraction.com/law-of-attraction-breakthrough/

Your gut feeling is your intuition. While many dismiss intuition as wishful thinking or indigestion, scientists have shown that intuition is real. In fact, many important scientific discoveries have occurred because scientists followed their own intuition. And of course, we at Psychic Elements KNOW that it is very real. Intuition is expressed through a feeling, a quiet thought, or perhaps a compulsion to take action even if we don’t know why. Scientists say that intuitive feelings are a result of our subconscious recognizing patterns. Patterns which we have absorbed and learned without realizing.
From this knowledge, it can be stated that your entire “reality” is all within your head. There is nothing “out there” even though it seems like it. It’s the case of the popular question, “if a tree falls in a forest and nobody’s there to hear it, does it make a sound?” The idea is that you cannot experience your reality without actively perceiving it and this is the fundamental basis of the Law of Attraction.

Those individuals who have the luck factor always expect that good fortune will result from their decisions and actions. Whether events are within or outside of their control, they always expect that a positive outcome will result. This expectation naturally raises their conscious awareness of the world around them, which enables them to identify opportunities that otherwise may have been overlooked.

They don’t obtain the ability to find life in their life. Yes, ability. It’s not just a choice. It may start with a choice. But it’s a practice, a daily one, to produce nectar (joy) from what’s in front of you as you keep building and climbing. This is what keeps you positive and attracting. It’s like pedaling a bike. Once you are no longer able to produce joy with what you have, you are no longer attracting.
It's curious that people who believe in a LOA are critical of those who don't and believe them to be close-minded. I have presented a lot of new data such as the erroneous science and the data showing that acting as though you had already accomplished your goals was detrimental to you doing so. Yet, LOA proponents do not look at this with an open mind and reconsider their belief system. In this way LOA is akin to a faith-based religion, except that religious beliefs can't be disproven.
The people whose lives seem to be blessed with a lucky charm have incredible willpower and an extraordinary ability to persist in the face of adversity. Their determination to push forward no matter what obstacles stand in their way naturally exposes them to a greater array of opportunities that often reveal themselves the further they are able to push through the challenges in their lives.
Turn your bad luck into good luck. Lucky people see the positive side of their bad luck. They do not dwell on their ill fortune. They embrace failure and view it as an opportunity to learn and grow. Lucky people usually are more resilient when bad things happen to them. They believe that good things will happen and avoid dwelling on negative things.
Which brought me to this basic statement of the fundamental Abraham teaching. And what a fine, excellent book it is. It explains so many things, why things are the way they are, why we keep trying to change things, but keep winding up with the same disappointing, unwanted results, and how to change the way we tell the Universe what it is we truly want.
Surround yourself with lucky people. The people you hang out with have an influence on your outlook toward life. They have an effect on what you do and how you think and feel. Be with like-minded people who are doing what you want to be doing. Emotions are contagious. If you hang out with negative people who always complain and whine about their life and who are generally not very lucky, chances are you will soon be down on your luck. Make a conscious effort to spend time with people who have a positive outlook on life.
The law of attraction (LOA) is the belief that the universe creates and provides for you that which your thoughts are focused on. It is believed by many to be a universal law by which “Like Always Attracts like.” The results of positive thoughts are always positive consequences. The same holds true for negative thoughts always leading to bad outcomes. But the LOA is much more than generalizations; thinking about red Lamborghinis will bring you red Lamborghinis – always. To the believers, questioning the validity of the LOA is akin to heresy and blasphemy; it creates religious fervor. To the uninitiated, it may seem silly to discuss even the possibility that such a law could exist.
This is a great book. But it doesn't really get into "The Secret BEHIND The Secret" so-to-speak. "The Master Key System" by Charles F. Haanel still is, and will ALWAYS be, the greatest book on this subject that has ever existed. It is "one stop shopping" and explains it all in a very simple and easy-to-read book that is almost a hundred years old. This book was the third I got from Esther and Jerry Hicks, and was not a bad read for what I knew at the time. But "The Master Key System" was TRULY the life-transforming book I needed to read. And THAT was the one that changed my life. This one goes into WHAT The Law of Attraction can do. But not really HOW or WHY.

“A diplomat, journalist, and economist, Carr was the furthest thing that one could imagine from a starry-eyed spiritual dreamer or a promulgator of superstition. Carr eschewed all forms of ponderous or magical language — yet he also believed in a clear and concrete set of methods for attracting and building upon the fortuitous chance occurrences that crisscross our daily lives. He was an ardent believer that good ethics bring “good luck.” “

Recognize the positives: Often times, we focus on what we would like to acquire and not what we already possess. If you think you have bad luck, it’s because you haven’t taken a look around you. Your family, your partner, your job and your house may not be straight out of a fairy tale or a dream, but if you have all of this, you can consider yourself a truly lucky person.
Everyone wants to be lucky. We all want things to go our way and for life to deliver great opportunities, an inflow of money and people whom we get along with. Some seem to have all that. It looks so easy for them while the rest of us struggle along, doing our best and hoping for a lucky break. Thankfully, there are ways you can give the universe a nudge to help you attract good luck.
Expect that the universe is more likely to give you things if you’re already grateful for what it has provided to you. Giving an asked-for birthday gift to someone and barely receiving a thank you, you’d likely avoid providing a second gift. On the other hand, you’d get excited about giving a repeat gift to someone who enthusiastically expressed their appreciation for your gift. Imagine the universe in the same way.

Or change your state through experiences. Little daily things are big. When I was going through my rebirth — changing my state, I found joy in little things like a good workout, motorcycle rides, meaningful conversations, enjoying different foods, and hanging out with my tribe. These are all things I had in front of me. I didn’t have book deals or my own company. I punched a clock. I was in a job I didn’t like (but later realized it was one of the most important chapters of my life and would position me for bigger things.) The process of finding joy in your life is what creates you to connect to yourself. This is the gold. This connection to self is what makes you a super magnet to attract.

Unfortunately, this author has an extremely superficial understanding of the LOA. While he may claim to have read all of the books, he clearly didn't understand them. He really isn't to blame as unfortunately many of the books written on the LOA are written by people that do not fully understand it themselves. The statement that positive thoughts always bring positive things is a faulty premise that is not at the basis of the LOA.
Ed, thank you very much for sharing your gift and talent. You have used just the right words to really allow all of what I’ve been feeling for so many years finally make more sense than ever. You are a true Blessing and I’m so very excited to learn more from you to truly simplify and organize my thoughts and ideas into the life I’ve been trying to create for myself and my family. I think I had a “missing link” that was there the entire time just floating around me that I could access but much simpler through your help. I do very much appreciate your knowledge and your kindness. Sending you lots of thanks and love to you and your family!!
wallace wattles is not god. just because a teacher of a subject says something dumb like don't help the poor ever doesn't mean the whole subject they teach is worthless. but it's true that if you surround yourself with low achieving struggling people it will effect you differently than the opposite and if you think about illness and victimhood most of the time it will effect you differently than health and power
Neil, I have never heard a so called "doctor" speak so unprofessionally. I'm sure you are aware of the certain psychology that enables some people to make certain remarks behind the safety of their computer? If not, you would do well to look it up. It is evident that you are feeling defensive enough about this subject to make such immature comments, very telling indeed.
Those people who are seen to have good luck expect to find a solution that will help them overcome their problems. They fully understand that if there is a problem, that a solution can and will be found — it’s just a matter of time. As a result, they remain vigilant, they persist and work through obstacles, while all-the-while scouting for opportunities that could provide them with the answers they are searching for.

“A welcome addition to the field of attraction/prosperity. The book is full of practical strategies for changing luck-repelling behaviors and increasing both fortunate circumstances and the ability to make the most of them. If your customers are serious about removing barriers to their success and happiness, this is a book of practical suggestions that they won’t want to miss.”

Creative visualization is a cornerstone of using the Law of Attraction, and meditative exercises are part of this process. For example, you are encouraged to spend 10-15 minutes a day on building an increasingly detailed image of the life you want to develop. However, visualization actually extends far beyond these mental pictures, and can be practiced in concrete ways every day. For example, you will learn writing exercises here on our site and artistic approaches that focus on externalizing your goals and making them more real. You can be as creative in your visualization process as you like, and trying out the basic skills may inspire you to come up with unique methods that are even more effective.
I understand your scepticism about the LOA as I am someone who is open minded about it. However, I kind of lost confidence in your arguments when you started to present basic premises about the LOA incorrectly. For example, the primary focus of the law of attraction is not about material wealth. It is about self development, self love and the journey to self completeness within the context of mindfulness and positive thinking. This is a premise that is widely used within peer researched clinical therapies as well as many religions. Proponents of the law of attraction do not campaign for everyone to achieve selfish material gain and wealth. I have not heard or read anyone, no matter what level in their LOA journey that they are at. Their point is about the power of a positive mindset, a principle I am very much a supporter of and as I said, this is not unique to the LOA.

The results of using the Law of Attraction techniques are only limited by your imagination (and by the laws of physics, you’re not going to manifest bird-like flying anytime soon). There are endless things you can attract in your life. From practical things — like “good parking karma” to always guarantee you a great parking spot, to “calls to adventure” that open you up to random invitations to explore the world — you can use the principles behind the Law of Attraction in any way you please.
There's an old saying, perhaps you've heard it, "consider the source"? Do you not see the irony in your criticism of LOA, classifying it as a "pseudoscience", with your employer being PSYCHOLOGY TODAY? if I'm not mistaken, has the field of psychology itself, in It's infancy as well as today, not been debunked, by "actual science", referring to it also as "pseudoscience"?
The New Thought movement (Law of Attraction Origins) grew out of the teachings of Phineas Quimby in the early 19th century. Early in his life, Quimby was diagnosed with tuberculosis. Unfortunately, medicinal treatment wasn't working, so he began carriage riding through his hometown, Lebanon, New Hampshire. He then regained his health and recovered, an event that prompted his study of "mind over body".[10] Although he never used the words 'Law of Attraction', he explained this in a statement that captured the concept in the field of health:
