It would be impossible to publish research in any respectable peer-reviewed psychology journal that was not up to this high standard with concomitant rigorous statistical analyses. These are the standards in psychology. When someone comes up with a new theory in psychology or any other science, for that theory to be of any use, it has to be able to make predictions and those predictions have to be verifiable. If there is no way to disprove a theory, it can explain everything that happens, yet it doesn't predict anything specific that can be tested, it is considered a poor theory.
Persevere and you will succeed: Another popular saying that is perfectly suited for the pursuit of good luck. At this point we have made clear that luck is something that’s sought after and not something that falls from the sky. Projects that are truly worth your time are long, expensive and difficult. If you are persistent, work hard and don’t skimp on time, you’ll be able to achieve anything you want. Make a plan, and follow it to the letter, and put your best foot forward so you can reach that goal, whatever it takes.

I AGREE with you when you invite people not to be fooled but, not to be fooled by just believing the first guy who introduces himself as an expert when it is obviously just leading you to pay 299 for a magical LOA course so to go deeper in the study of it before dismissing totally a life changing knowledge. Yours are valuable tools to but there is no need to be general and discriminate 100% something that you have not fully experience yourself.
Michael Losier is the best on the law of attraction issue. He teaches one exactly how to master the art of "believe". It is easy to tell people that the law of attraction works; however, the LOA works if one firmly believes in receiving something specific. Now what if one can not convince oneself to deeply believe? Michael has a whole chapter on how one can realistically think ones desire into reality.
Life was always very tough, with many 'frienemies', which happens to a girl after marriage. But somewhere deep down, I felt I was good. Besides, I had a husband & 2 children. And so I worked hard at whatever I undertook. It was a typical hare & tortoise story! Today, those troublemakers are struggling with their own problems, while I have made quite a name & earned goodwill in the society.

People who are lucky are comfortable following their gut instincts. They’re positive and open minded and that means they're able to interact with the world with a greater awareness than people who are judgemental. Lucky people notice opportunities and blessings that others miss. They are not afraid to take risks or follow their heart in love, life and career pursuits. They trust themselves because they know that abundance, joy and happiness are their birthright, and everyone else’s birthright, too. They know that there is enough for everyone and they go out of their way to share their blessings and good fortune with others.

Listen to your gut. When it comes to luck, intuition plays an important role. Lucky people’s intuitions tend to pay off time and time again, while unlucky people tend to ignore their gut feelings. Lucky people trust themselves and make effective decisions by paying attention to their hunches and gut feelings. And if they get it wrong, they learn a lesson from it and change their approach.
Great article Neil! The biggest misconception about the law of attraction is people just think all you need to do is visualize and you will get what you want,we all have limiting beliefs which are chains holding us back from manifesting what we want,we’ve gotten these limiting beliefs when we were young from our parents, friends, relatives ,e.g if you’ve always been told by your parents “money doesnt grow on trees” and that becomes a deep rooted limiting belief ,its going to be hard to visualize and attract money into your life unless you get rid of the limiting beliefs, I discovered a method from a blog that showed me how to get rid of any limiting beliefs that you may have and started attracting what i wanted in just a few days ,here's the link if you want to learn how to do the same: instantlawofattraction.com/law-of-attraction-breakthrough/
Make the most of chance opportunities. Lucky people are good at creating, noticing and acting upon chance opportunities. They do this by being open and adopting a relaxed attitude toward life, therefore they see what is there rather than only what they are looking for. They view every social interaction as an opportunity for mutual benefit and growth. They talk to a lot of people and keep in touch with them. They don’t just interact with people for the sake of interacting. They actually take time to get to know people on a deeper level. This enables them to seize random opportunities from chance encounters.
The law of attraction manifests through your thoughts, by drawing to you thoughts and ideas of a similar kind, people who think like you, and also corresponding situations and circumstances. It is the law and power that brings together people of similar interests, who unite into various groups, such as political groups, sports teams, sports fans, fraternities, etc.

I worked with a professional footballer once. He was getting very nervous about shooting goals. He kept missing even though he was very talented. I insisted that he kept watching himself on TV scoring goals and burned that image into his consciousness. I didn’t want him thinking about anything else. Every time he had a negative thought he was to switch that picture, either on the TV or on the TV in his mind. And he was to surround the thought with positive emotions of love and respect for himself.

"The original creators of the law of attraction going back to the 1880s including Prentice Mulford,James Allen, Thomas Troward, William Walker Atkinson, Bruce MacLelland, Wallace Wattles, Napoleon Hill, Earl Nightingale, and W. Clement Stone promoted the belief that this is a universal law in which you attract only what you are thinking about. Modern LOA proponents such as Rhonda Byrne, Jack Canfield, Bob Proctor, John Assaraf, Joe Vitale, The Hicks family, and many others have stated similar beliefs."
Focus as often as you can on what you do want rather than on what you don't want. For example, if you are angry or upset about a war/conflict that has been going on, do your best to be 'pro-peace' rather than 'anti-war' - focus on the peace, and the kinds of solutions that you would like to see, instead of whatever it is that you do not like about the situation.
In the New Thought philosophy, the Law of Attraction is the belief that by focusing on positive or negative thoughts, people can bring positive or negative experiences into their life.[1][2] The belief is based on the idea that people and their thoughts are both made from pure energy, and that through the process of like energy attracting like energy a person can improve their own health, wealth, and personal relationships.
