Your gut feeling is your intuition. While many dismiss intuition as wishful thinking or indigestion, scientists have shown that intuition is real. In fact, many important scientific discoveries have occurred because scientists followed their own intuition. And of course, we at Psychic Elements KNOW that it is very real. LOA is one of those things that just baffles me as to why people buy into it. It literally amounts to nothing more substantial than, "Close your eyes, cross your fingers, and wish on a star, then alllllll your dreams will come truuuuuue!" It survives on the average person's ignorance of advanced science and their tendency to assume that someone using big words and "sciencey-sounding" concepts must know what they're talking about.
There are dozens of different ways of incorporating your knowledge of the Law of Attraction into your everyday life, letting your new skills shape your day from morning to night. While that might sound like an overwhelming undertaking, the truth is that simple changes have powerful consequences when you’re working with the Law of Attraction. Have you thought about making someone else feel lucky? One of the easiest and most satisfying ways to attract good luck to yourself is to give it to another. Tape an envelope with a dollar or two inside to a park bench or other place where you’ll know it will be found. You could write on the front, “Have a coffee on me.” You never know… that two dollars might save someone’s life, or restore their faith in humanity, or simply pay for them to have a good cup of coffee. Make someone feel it's their lucky day.
The fact that we build evidence to support our beliefs is not evidence that a law of attraction exists. Why do innocent babies attract negativity that causes them to be in the ICU with fatal illnesses? Why do happy children get hit by cars or murdered by terrorists? Why do people who cheat and lie and abuse others, sometimes prosper and become leaders in society? If we are using anecdotal evidence to support claims, I will have plenty of examples.
I sit down to write when there is an inspiration within to do so and then the words just flow through. These writings are not meant to create belief systems, dogmas, agendas or techniques. All these are just structures used by the "Me" to enhance itself. The real purpose of these writings, if any, is to awaken the recognition of your true nature. Recite positive affirmations. Positive affirmations help condition your subconscious mind to become more open to rewards of the universe. It helps you think positively, which results in positive actions. Repeating positive affirmations not only help convince your mind but also translate the positivity into positive actions. Lucky people tell themselves they are lucky. They say things like, ‘Things will work out for me,’ ‘This failure is temporary. I know things will turn around,’ ‘I am a lucky person.’ Lucky people also experience failures, but unlike unlucky people, lucky ones expect failures to be short-lived.
Maintain good relationships with people already in your life. Be it personal or professional relationships, maintain a good rapport with people you already have in your life. Most of the time, it’s the people around you who are responsible for the lucky breaks in your life. When you push away or neglect people, you might be pushing away the opportunities that others could lead you to.
People who naturally seem to have good luck know that finding new ways to add more value to other people’s lives is one of the surest methods of attracting the interest they need in their products, services, and businesses. This interest generates opportunities and seemingly fortunate coincidences that are deemed by others as nothing more than good luck.
We are what we attract, or so it says in this book. I initially purchased this book for my husband and it does offer some interesting reading material, just not really what I thought it would be after reading so many glowing reviews about the book. Clearly, one does have to be open-minded when reading this book, but also take it all with a grain of salt. It more reminds me of "The Secret" and all of it's hype when it was so popular. According to my understanding of the basic concepts of the book is that everything that happens or lack there of begins in our own minds. Yes, true, that "as so a man think, he becomes". The value of this book is in promoting the idea that you have more control over your life than you think. The mind is capable of a lot, including how your body lives, how you present yourself to other people, etc. When you have a positive train of thought, you will have better health, better prosperity and better life in general. That simply is true and cannot be denied. I think this book is a good stepping stone on where to begin, but is seems reminiscent of Napoleon Hill's, "Think and Grow Rich," or James Allen's, "As a Man Thinketh,". What the book doesn't tell you is that when negative things happen to you, your positive attitude can turn those things into far less tragic events. There are other books that will make this more clear.
Everyone wants to be lucky. We all want things to go our way and for life to deliver great opportunities, an inflow of money and people whom we get along with. Some seem to have all that. It looks so easy for them while the rest of us struggle along, doing our best and hoping for a lucky break. Thankfully, there are ways you can give the universe a nudge to help you attract good luck.
Or change your state through experiences. Little daily things are big. When I was going through my rebirth — changing my state, I found joy in little things like a good workout, motorcycle rides, meaningful conversations, enjoying different foods, and hanging out with my tribe. These are all things I had in front of me. I didn’t have book deals or my own company. I punched a clock. I was in a job I didn’t like (but later realized it was one of the most important chapters of my life and would position me for bigger things.) The process of finding joy in your life is what creates you to connect to yourself. This is the gold. This connection to self is what makes you a super magnet to attract.
Persevere and you will succeed: Another popular saying that is perfectly suited for the pursuit of good luck. At this point we have made clear that luck is something that’s sought after and not something that falls from the sky. Projects that are truly worth your time are long, expensive and difficult. If you are persistent, work hard and don’t skimp on time, you’ll be able to achieve anything you want. Make a plan, and follow it to the letter, and put your best foot forward so you can reach that goal, whatever it takes.
You are one of a kind and you have a unique spiritual fingerprint. A unique abundance DNA. The universe just wants you to recognize and own your uniqueness. Then you can have anything you want because you’ll stop doing things the way you think you should. You’ll know without blinking that you’re the best in the world at being you. And that’s more than enough to attract an extraordinary and abundant life for you and for those you love.
You are being guided by your inner being, guardian angel, fairies of the universe, call it what you will. There’s a divine intelligence available to all of us, but most shut it out, preferring to rely on our senses for information. One way to begin to pay attention to those whispers from the universe is to look for signs and symbols. Trying to make a decision? Guidance is being offered to you. It might be a line in a book or a song. A particular bird in a particular place. A literal road sign. The name of a store. A number which keeps showing up for you. Teach yourself to be aware of the subtle hints all around.

After finishing this wonderful book, I'm thankful for the refresher course on using this law to help me attain the life I desire. One of the first pages describes the definition of the Law of Attraction. "I attract to my life whatever I give my attention, energy and focus to, whether positive or negative." This great reminder is so valuable in refocusing your efforts even if you are having success in life. The author's "observation cycle" is valuable when you realize your present life is not going well (enough) and you are causing more of the same problems if you are focused on your present circumstances. I like to think about the cycle if your life is going well too, make sure you keep focusing on the great things and don't expect bad things to happen soon. Great work on the chapter of "allowing" success in your life too. The speed of the law of attraction depends on how fast you allow the beautiful things that life represents into your life. Lastly you must have faith in the universe to allow it to bring the things you want into your life without exactly knowing how they will get meshed in your present circumstances. This last thougth is difficult but have faith and you will get there. In summary, an outstanding guide the Law.

Most people don’t consider using the Law of Attraction to bring better health into their lives, but as you noticed in the results of the aging experiment, it’s actually a great tool for that purpose. Because the Law of Attraction works with thoughts and thoughts affect our physical reality, you may be attracting poor health into your life right now without even realizing it.
This step is important because those competing signals can be quite strong. Weaken the signal or change the direction of those thoughts like this: Approach those feelings with the love and compassion that you would feel towards a lonely, small child or a hurt animal. Neil, I have never heard a so called "doctor" speak so unprofessionally. I'm sure you are aware of the certain psychology that enables some people to make certain remarks behind the safety of their computer? If not, you would do well to look it up. It is evident that you are feeling defensive enough about this subject to make such immature comments, very telling indeed.
There is no real risk to chasing your dreams. As far as I can tell, it’s a lot of fun and a thrilling journey. My experience with countless clients over many, many years, is that all the risk…all the frustration…and all the disappointment, is born from not chasing dreams. (But please remember, there is a way to chase dreams successfully which is like chasing butterflies. Put yourself in the right energy field, and become a magnet for those butterflies. The more direct method of butterfly catching is so much harder).
Creative visualization is a cornerstone of using the Law of Attraction, and meditative exercises are part of this process. For example, you are encouraged to spend 10-15 minutes a day on building an increasingly detailed image of the life you want to develop. However, visualization actually extends far beyond these mental pictures, and can be practiced in concrete ways every day. You can be as creative in your visualization process as you like, and trying out the basic skills may inspire you to come up with unique methods that are even more effective.
While you may give someone the evil eye when they annoy you, people used to take malevolent looks much more seriously. Usually triggered by jealousy, giving someone an evil eye was supposed to cause all manner of suffering including mental illness and physical maladies. For thousands of years, people have been using evil eye talismans, or nazur, to ward off the bad luck caused by these curses.
Your second point is an interesting discussion. You are correct that in its infancy, psychology was criticized for claiming to be a scientific field and not living up to that assertion by performing quality research. I believe that this question has been put to rest as the rigors of publishing in psychology require randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled trials.
Another legend attributes lucky horseshoes to Saint Dunstan, a historical figure who died in 988 AD. According to the legend, Dunstan, who was a blacksmith, was commanded by the devil to shoe his horse. Instead, Dunstan nailed a horseshoe to the devil's foot and refused to remove it and ease the devil's pain until he received a guarantee that the devil would stay away from any house with a horseshoe on the door. Thus, any house with a horseshoe was guaranteed to be lucky.
4) No Plan: If the best way for me to achieve my goals is to live as if I’ve already achieved them, then there is no reason to make further plans to do so! Making plans shows the universe that you doubt its ability and lack faith. Doubt is negative and you will then attract more negative and not get your desired item. In the book The Secret, Jack Canfield proposed, “Our job is not to figure out the how.” “…trust that the Universe will figure out how to manifest it.” Studies show that this way of thinking results in greater short term satisfaction, but less motivation and lower chance of achieving goals.
